Evolutions:

Gates of Ethernity takes Ethernals to the next level with its unique evolution system. Ethernals can evolve during the match they're being played in, allowing them to become stronger and acquire new abilities and stats. When starting off at a higher evolution, however, they will be weaker than those that are evolved within the match. This system adds an extra layer of complexity and strategy to the game, furthering the appeal of Gates of Ethernity to Esports fans.

Bloodline Glyphs:

Bloodline Glyphs are purchasable power-ups found in the store for souls. There are 60 Bloodline Glyphs available in the game, but only 16 are selected to be used in a match. Two Bloodline Glyphs can be equipped to an Ethernal, however, two of the same Glyph cannot be held. To gain the full benefit of the Bloodline Glyphs, two of the same type must be equipped to two different units. These Glyphs can be upgraded by having four or six units with the same Bloodline Glyph. Bloodline Glyphs cannot be removed, only replaced. If three Bloodline Glyphs are dragged onto a unit with two Bloodline Glyphs, an option to replace one of the two Bloodline Glyphs will be available.

Legacy Items:

Legacy Items are unique scaling items that grant powerful effects when a Master, also known as Adventurer from Aether: Trading Card Game attains a specific goal related to the item's original owner. These items can be equipped by Ethernals to increase their stats and grant additional effects. Each Ethernal may only hold a single item, with up to three levels of increasing stats. Upon being purchased from the shop, an item will automatically level up to form an Advanced item, and cannot be split into its composite parts.

Succession Path:

Ethernal's Succession is an in-game system that allows players to increase an Ethernal's base stats by using them in Matches. At the end of the match, each Ethernal will earn Succession Points based on their performance and placement in the Match. All Ethernals have access to a Succession Tree, which is a network of stats and raw attributes that can be allocated to an Ethernal with the use of Succession Points. As Ethernals reach level 10, players may reset and re-arrange their Ethernal's Succession Tree by paying a fee determined by the amount of Succession Points spent in the tree.
